Marilyn I - Painting

Marilyn Monroe has always been an object of fascination - whether during her lifetime or after her death. Her beauty, her charisma, her acting, her complicated life story. It all is part of her attraction. But whatever you might think of her - she was a star. 

This painting has intentionally kept to the minimalistic and recognisable features that we know from Marilyn's most famous photo shoot. It does not take much to make her shine. This is a reminder that it is not about piling on the superficial, the plastic, the glam - it is about the human being in its entirety. The neon colour really makes this stand out.
